Shirley Evans Nettles, 86, of Woodville, Mississippi, passed away at her home on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Shirley was born on Friday, November 10, 1939, in Natchez, Mississippi to Grover and Luna Mae Styron Evans.
Service will be Monday, May 18, 2026, at 2;00 p.m. at Newman Funeral Home in Woodville, MS. Visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service with Brother Howard Peak officiating. Interment at Evergreen Annex Cemetery under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.
Shirley was a member of Union Baptist Church and a Pharmacy Tech at City Drug Store in Woodville, MS
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Nettles Wallace of Woodville, MS, her sister, Nora Wallace of Wisner, LA, a grandson, Richard “Ricky” Lee Nettles, III, and two great grandchildren, Peyton Nettles and Aiden Nettles.
Preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Luna Mae Evans, her husband, Richard Nettles and her son Richard Nettles, Jr.
