Roosevelt Singleton, III

Roosevelt Singleton, III, was born on June 22, 1975, in New Orleans, LA, to the late Roosevelt Singleton, Jr. and Sandra Singleton. At an early age, Roosevelt accepted Christ and began a life grounded in faith.

On January 9, 2026, Roosevelt peacefully departed this life at his home, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

Roosevelt was a devoted son, a loving brother, and a loyal friend. He was a graduate of Abramson Senior High School. Known for his caring spirit, Roosevelt truly embodied what it meant to be his brother’s keeper. The bond he shared with his mother and brother was strong and unbreakable, rooted in love, respect, and unwavering support.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving mother, Sandra Singleton; his devoted brother, Brian Singleton; two aunts, Sylvia Miller (Percy) and Bertha Longino, one uncle, Larry Gaines; a special friend, Tourayarn “Tory” Scott; along with a host of cousins, extended family members and dear friends.

Roosevelt was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt Singleton, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Roosevelt Singleton, Sr. and Francis Robertson Singleton; and his maternal grandparents, Moses and Ollie Mae Gaines.

Roosevelt Singleton, III, will be forever remembered for his kind heart, his love for family and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.

A religious service was held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Interment in Mr. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Newman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
