Nellie Davis Satcher

Nellie D. Satcher, 94, of Woodville, MS, passed away at Field Health System on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Nell was born on March 11, 1931, in Choctaw County, MS, to Robert Lee Davis and Mary Peacock Davis.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Woodville Baptist Church from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. George Bannister, Rev. Dillon Wickliffe, and David Bradley officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery Annex under the direction of Newman Funeral Home.

Nell was a member of Woodville Baptist Church, where she taught Beginners Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She worked at the William Carter Company and Withers Florist & Warehouse. She cared for her husband, Calvin, until his death in 1988 and then continued to care for others until her retirement. Nell raised five children, loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly and will always be remembered for making the best dressing at Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Nell is survived by two daughters, Katherine S. Brown (William) and Deborah S. Randall (Rory). Three grandchildren, Melanie Waller (Scott), Paul Randall (Holli) and Al Randall (Alicia). Eight great-grandchildren, Scott A. Waller, Lori Waller, Paul Randall, III, Anna Grace Randall, Josh Randall, Caleb Randall, Ava Randall and Davis Randall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lee and Mary Davis, husband, Calvin Ray Satcher, three sons, Ronald Satcher, Ray Satcher and Justin Satcher, sister, Mayzell Sanders, brothers, Virgil Davis, John Davis, Joe (Preacher) Davis, Terry Davis and Arvil Davis.

Pallbearers will be Scott Waller, Paul Randall, Jr., Al Randall,

Paul Randall, III, Josh Randall, Caleb Randall and Davis Randall.
