Larry Gaines was born on August 8, 1956, in Woodville, Mississippi to Moses Leon Gaines and Ollie Mae Stewart Gaines.

Larry's smile could light up a room, and his laughter was contagious.  He welcomed everyone and never met a stranger.  A man gifted with many talents, he was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

At an early age, Larry accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized.

On April 29, 2026, Larry departed this life at his home with his sister, Sandra, by his side.

Larry was a devoted brother, truly one of a kind.  There was no one like him, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He was a graduate of Wilkinson County High School and earned a welding certificate from Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory his two sisters, Sylvia Miller (Percy) and Sandra Singleton; two aunts, Dorothy McQuarter and Rosie Lee Major; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving relatives.
