Billy Gene McGregor

Billy Gene McGregor, 93, of Centreville, MS, passed away at his residence after a lengthy illness on March 31, 2026. Billy was born on April 8, 1932, in Bruce, MS to Viola and J.B. McGregor, Sr.

Billy was manager of the John Deere dealership in Centreville for 58 years. He also served on the town board of aldermen for the Town of Centreville. He was also treasurer and a deacon at Centreville Baptist Church for many years until his declining health forced him to give it up. Those left to cherish his memories are his son, Mike McGregor, and four grandsons, Dusty McGregor, Benji McKlemurry, Josh McGregor (Christine), and Brandon McGregor (Rosa). Nine great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marjorie McGregor, daughter, Wyvette McKlemurry, daughter-in-law, Barbara McGregor, and two brothers.

The family would like to offer special thanks to very special caretakers, Lisa McNabb and Shannon Montgomery and the wonderful staff at Dignity Hospice.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Centreville Baptist Church Building Fund at P. O. Box 428, Centreville, MS, 39631.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Centreville Baptist Church.   Brother Gaylin Fuller is officiating with Newman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
